(Her secret is that she bottles up her panic as much as she can, blowing off little bits at a time as soon as nobody can see her. Of course this means that when she loses her grip she /loses it/, poor girl.)

I should be working on either school work or comics, but I thought this would be a good experiment with backgrounds and transitions.

So I’ve spent some time watching Skullgirl let’s plays as I do not own an Xbox or Play Station. Gotta say that I rather like it: The designs are creative, the animation is a lot of fun, and the story is nicely done as well. I do have to say however that despite how cool Peacock is, Painwheel is my favorite character. For whatever reason I find myself digging the whole walking-horror-story thing she has going on, I guess deep down I have a taste for the disturbing. However, I have to say that what I love the most about this character is that she was one of the only ones with a major impact on the overall story. Now don’t get me wrong, I do enjoy the other characters’ arcs quite a bit but honestly for the most part it felt like they only mattered in their own isolated narratives (aside from Valentine and Double of course). Painwheel on the other hand was significant to story arcs outside of her own and it did allow her to flesh out a bit more as a character, which is always fun to see. Of course these are just personal thoughts, and I’m aware that none of these endings are canon, but I still have a feeling that Painwheel will still be important when the official “canon-story” is released.

I for one think that the ending she got with Valentine’s arc was the most emotionally satisfying (albeit not the happiest, but “happiness” and “closure” are two different things) which is why it’s the one I selected for this piece.

I’m not sure if I should color this or not. Any thoughts?

P.S.-I promise I’ll get back to working on SigFigs now. Can’t wait for school to finally end.
